So much to do so little time :)

Over the past couple of weeks I have been buzzing around from here to there, and everywhere. Life is super hectic right now. I'm working 40 hours, juggling Angelyn's soccer, gymnastics, starting classes at church, time with Matt, playdates with friends, family gatherings, keeping house, etc. I feel spread pretty thin but I'm happy to finally have a few spare minutes to give an update on our lives. :) Since I last wrote we have started Angelyn in both gymnastics and soccer. She is loving it. They don't have teams in soccer for her age so basically they run around and learn the basics of the game. Brian is pretty excited to have her following in his footsteps with a love of soccer, just as I am excited for her to follow in my footsteps with gymastics. She looks so agile as she gets out there on the balance beams and high bars (pretty crazy for 3 years old, lol).

Within the contraints of our schedules we somehow found the time to have a beautful Valentine's night together...the day before Valentine's at 11:30pm, lol. I set up the house for Matt when he came home from work that night. He was an hour late because it was so busy but I think he was really suprised. :) We had a lovely night. Matt got me a beautiful card and angel wings. Last year it was diamond angel wing earrings and this year wooden angel wings to hang above our bed. I loved it! He really is the most thoughtful boyfriend ever. I

cut my bangs off too, lol...figured I'd go all out. :)

Last weekend we skipped date night and went shopping with Angelyn. :) We had to wake up super early on Saturday to take our annual family trip to Bushnell to visit my grandfather and now great-grandfather's graves. It was my grandparent's 60th wedding anniversary. How amazing right? Every year we all load into my grandma's van and make the 2 1/2 hour drive. It's really the only out of town trip we all take together so I really looked forward to it. This year Matt got to come enjoy the craziness of my family too. I hope he's getting a little used to it by now, lol. Angelyn entertained herself quite well after I bought her a new doll at Cracker Barrell. She played with it as long as I can remember until I woke up to find my mom sleeping on Ryan, Ryan sleeping with his mouth wide open, myself sleeping on Matt who was also passed out, and Angelyn sleeping on a pillow rested against my legs. We must have been worn out!

We all look pretty awake on the way there. When we arrived we met up with Uncle Kenneth, Aunt Linda, and Uncle Ed who Angelyn kept calling, "Uncle Ralph."

It was a really enjoyable trip for all of us. :) As for the rest of February, Matt and I attended Mardi Gras in Cocoa Village for the first time. I got like 30 strands of beads from the parade and we danced the night away at Dog and Bone. Our new floors are being installed on Friday. I have been waiting for this for what seems like forever. After potty training a baby and a puppy our carpet had seen better days and steam cleaning them only lasted so long. So thanks to my wonderful boyfriend we are now putting in new beautiful laminate. This weekend my mom and I are going to a two day women's conference at church. I haven't been to one in years so I'm stoked about it. I'm also starting a new class at church for 9 weeks on Tuesday nights. Busy, busy, busy. Just the way I like it. :)  Matt starts the last two years his bachelor's degree in computer science tomorrow and I am so proud to see his drive and dedication to it. I know he's going to do something great someday. I am loving working from home in the mornings. Even though I feel much busier, I also feel like I'm where I'm supposed to be and that's a good feeling. I'm taking a class next Saturday on homeschooling. I can't believe time is flying by so quickly that Ang wil be starting school in just a year's time...sad, but so exciting. I thank God that He is answering my prayers to be able to be at home and homeschool her which is what I prayed for since finding out I was pregnant. Slowly, the pieces are falling into place. Anyway, I'm sure that March will bring just as much joy and craziness as the previous months of this year. :) I'll keep you all updated!

Friday Night Date Night

Ever since Angelyn was born Brian's parents have been so sweet to keep her on Friday nights. When we first split I'll admit it was extremely difficult to be away from her for that extra night, but she looks forward to going over there all week and it gives Matt and I our only free night together for...Date Night. :) Most every Friday we spend our evening winding down from our crazy work weeks and enjoy the company of friends or alone time with eachother. Last week we did wine tasting at Inlet Wines followed by sipping on pina colodas, enjoying live music, and dancing at Captain Hirams. This week we decided to start the evening off by having Mexican! Yum. :) We shared a delicious array of margaritas, enchiladas, tamales, and tacos.

Originally when I wanted to start a blog I had decided that we would try out a different restraunt every week for a year and write about them. My vision has changed a little so this is about the extent of our restraunt adventures so far, lol.

After dinner, we went and saw The Vow. Omgosh was it emotional. I think I cried like 5 times. I think Matt did too even though he didn't admit it, lol. Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum have to be like the two most beautiful people alive. As always we loved getting to spend time together and had a great time.

Cheers to another wonderful date night with my love and best friend.

Angelyn's New Room (updated)

I finally bought a camera a few days ago and was able to take pictures of Angelyn's finished room. I just love it.

Valentine Crafting

Our afternoon was filled with lots of fun enjoyed with two of our favorite people in the world. We crafted Valentine's cards for our families and friends. I am loving my renewly renovated 8ft conference table. It's the perfect place for work in the morning and doing projects in the evening.

Angelyn and Cambria were more fascinated with glittering everything than actually making the cards, lol. I wouldn't expect anything less. :)

Even one for our dog Cupcake.

Memory Bank

It's amazing to me how quickly a child's life can pass you by. When you first become a mother people are constantly telling you to savor each moment because they're bound to zip right past you before you realize it. I sit back now and realize that 3 and a half years have passed since I gave birth to my daughter. That in itself is amazing. I have been given this truly remarkable gift, a gift that I never have appreciated more than I do now. Today I want to start this "memory bank" and begin capturing the short years of Angelyn's childhood. I want to remember the most precious of life's moments with her and Matt and be able to go back and recall our thoughts, obtain deatils that I otherwise would have forgotten, and most of all be able to see on paper how happy our life has been. I want to look back 20 years from now and laugh about date nights that we had in our 20's. I want to watch my baby grow, not just in pictures, but in memories and stories. I want to capture it all, here.
